Method of dyeing Corozo


Pretreatment

1) Absorption:
Before dyeing, the button Corozo must always be well soaked with water. The best results are obtained by treating the buttons in hot water at 80°C for 2-3 hours, or soak at room temperature overnight. The impregnation with water leads to an obvious increase in the diameter and thickness of the buttons promoting the penetration of the dye.

2) Bleaching: To get the buttons with excellent "white effect, proceed as follows:
a) Dissolve 20 g of CORODECO in water and bring to a boil;
b) soak the buttons for 15-20 minutes;
c) lowering the temperature to 60°C and add 0.5% BLANK CRZ and maintaining constant temperature for 20-30 minutes;
d) rinse under running water.

3) Discoloration: To decolorize the buttons already 'dyed proceed as follows: a) Dissolve 20 g of CORODECO in water and bring to a boil; b) soak the buttons for 15-20 minutes; c) rinse in running water.

Preparation of dye bath
- Dissolve 8.4 g of dye per liter of warm water;
- Increase the bath temperature to 90-95°C and immerse the buttons;
- If the dyeing is not equipped with automatic handling of the bathroom, do it manually. Usually a bath of 10 liters is able to dye buttons 5000 or 1000 mid-sized ones. The dyeing time ranging from 15 to 30 minutes;
- When you reach the intensity 'of the desired color, rinse thoroughly under running water and transfer the buttons in a new warm bath containing 50 g / l COROFIX for 5 minutes at 30-40°C;
- rinse in running water and dry
